Itinerary (Best Travel Period: November-April)

 

Day 1 : Arrive Nelson

  • Nestled in a serene valley in the heart of rural area, Edenhouse is an overdue reminder of the genuine meaning of 6 star luxury in the South Island of New Zealand.
  • Explore the historic town of Nelson and the beautiful vineyards and farms in the surrounding areas.

 

Day 2 : Abel Tasman National Park

  • Spend a full day at the beautiful Abel Tasman National, New Zealand’s most visited National Park.
  • Take a lovely walk or boat trip to explore its scenic wonders.

 

Day 3 : Golden Bay/ Pigeon Bay

  • Make an excursion to Cape Farewell through ever changing landscape from towering seaside cliff to endless stretches of golden beaches.
  • Fly to Christchurch, then take a 15-min helicopter ride to arrive at Annandale – set on a 4,000-acre historic farm with 10km of spectacular coastline offering views to four luxury, award-winning villas and each private villa has its own special character.

 

Day 4 : Pigeon Bay

  • The sheltered, turquoise waters of Pigeon Bay and the surrounding area along Annandale's coast is the playground to much wildlife including the friendly Hector's dolphins, fur seals, blue penguins and bird colonies.
  • Follow your guide to explore the waters by kayaking or a nature cruise.
  • Hike or bike across the spectacular farm, enjoy a gourmet picnic.
  • Or simply relax with a massage and facial in your villa.
  • If you are interested in finding out more about New Zealand cuisine, take a cooking class with the on-site chef. All the ingredients are sourced from Annandale’s own farm and garden.

 

Day 5 : Pigeon Bay/ Minaret Bay

  • Have the morning free at leisure.
  • Return to Christchurch Airport for your 1-hour private jet transfer to Wanaka
  • Helicopters are waiting to take you to one of the most special places in New Zealand if not on earth – Minaret Station – situated high on an Alpine Plateau, consists of only 6 chalets only accessible by helicopter. Its environment is stunning surrounded by the snow-capped ranges of the Southern Alps.

 

Day 6 : Minaret Bay

  • Explore this most remote and untouched part of New Zealand by helicopter flying under 2000 ft. waterfalls, over Milford Sound (weather permitting), landing amongst fur seals, diving for fresh lobster, climbing up underneath glaciers and landing in the snow for photos against the Mt Aspiring backdrop.

 

Day 7 : Minaret Bay

  • Minaret Station is a working high country farm with sheep, deer and cattle all being run in one of the most remote parts of the country.
  • Take the helicopter down through the Estuary Burn valley landing at the Minaret Station farm homestead to embark on a 4x4 vehicle tour of this unique high country station.
  • Experience first-hand the intricacies of farming 26,000 stock units, help shepherds move mobs of sheep using the working farm dogs.
  • See the extensive farming of deer on the hillside blocks and see woolshed shearing of sheep in operation all combined with an exciting helicopter ride.

 

Day 8 : Queenstown

  • Transfer by a short helicopter ride to Queenstown, the centre of adventure for New Zealand. Here you will check into Matakauri Lodge – spectacularly situated on Lake Wakatipu, an alpine lakeside retreat nestled in one of the world’s most serenely beautiful landscape.
  • Enjoy a relaxing time strolling around the beautiful lakeside resort of Queenstown.

 

Day 9 : Queenstown

  • Have a full day in Queenstown with a wide variety of activities to choose from.
    • The jet boat up along the Dart River is one of the highlights,
    • or go on a tour of the surrounding boutique winery
    • or enjoy one of the country’s loveliest track – Routeburn.
